How has storytelling helped our understanding of the COVID-19 pandemic? This workshop examines the different mediums used in storytelling, and how they have served to educate on the science of COVID-19, encourage preventative practices, and give a snapshot of the daily lives of individuals in this point in history.
Objectives:
- Understand how storytelling is used to convey difficult topics, and the different mediums used (audio, animation, comics, social media, video).
- Discuss examples of storytelling during the pandemic, and their importance.
- Complete a mini-exercise on creating a 4-panel comic. You will need a pen and paper for this exercise.
